You should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in automotive design, and strong CAD/FEA skills (CATIA V5/SolidWorks; ANSYS/Abaqus).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years in mechanical design focusing on powertrain components.
- Proficient in CATIA V5 or SolidWorks; skilled with ANSYS or Abaqus.
- Knowledge of engine, transmission, or driveline systems.
- Familiar with IATF 16949 and automotive materials.
- Remote collaboration and independent task management.
- Experience with DFMEA / DFM is valued.
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical components for automotive powertrains using CAD software.
- Perform stress, thermal, and vibration analysis with FEA tools.
- Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs.
- Collaborate with remote teams including simulation and manufacturing.
- Support prototypes, testing, and validation.
- Contribute to design reviews and DFMEA.
- Stay current with emerging powertrain design trends.
