Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Electrical Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test electrical architectures for vehicles. This remote-friendly role focuses on power distribution, sensor integration, wiring harnesses, and vehicle networking, collaborating with a global team.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's in Electrical or Automotive Engineering, 3–5 years in automotive electrical design, and proficiency with EPLAN or Zuken E3.series, CAN/LIN, and Automotive

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related field.
3–5 years of experience in automotive electrical system design and development.
Proficiency with electrical CAD software (EPLAN, Zuken E3.series) and schematic capture tools.
Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
Experience with power electronics, battery management systems, and charging systems is a plus.
Knowledge of automotive standards (ISO 26262) is desirable.

Responsibilities

Design and develop automotive electrical architectures, including power distribution, lighting, and sensor systems.
Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness designs using appropriate software tools.
Integrate electrical components and systems, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
Specify and select electrical components, considering performance, cost, and reliability requirements.
Conduct system-level testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure compliance with specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during development, validation, and production phases.
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
Stay abreast of new technologies and trends in automotive electrical systems, such as ADAS and vehicle networking.
Ensure designs meet all relevant automotive standards and regulations.
