Job summary

Hearst Magazines is seeking a Production Specialist to guide sellers from submission to a successful auction experience on Bring a Trailer. You will prepare auction listings, coordinate updates with internal teams, and serve as the main seller liaison during pre-auction phases.

You will deliver empathetic customer support, manage a busy listing pipeline, and ensure accurate, high-quality content. A hands-on automotive interest is a plus, with remote-friendly, full-time work in eligible states.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in customer support, content production, technical writing, automotive services, or related field.
• Strong writing and editing skills; present detailed information clearly and accurately.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset and professional communication.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and build trust with stakeholders.
• Problem-solving mindset with independence and knowing when to escalate.
• Interest in collector cars and automotive culture; hands-on automotive experience is a plus.
• Adaptable, proactive, and eager to support evolving team and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare auction listings by organizing seller-submitted data and photos per Bring a Trailer standards.
• Coordinate with sellers and internal teams to update listings and ensure accuracy.
• Serve as primary contact for sellers during the pre-auction phase with timely communication.
• Provide high-quality customer support by answering questions and addressing concerns empathetically.
• Manage a high-volume pipeline of listings at various stages to meet daily production goals.
• Track listings through internal systems and act as SME on listing history.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth transition from listing creation to auction launch.
• Contribute to special projects and process improvements as needed.
