Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Principal Automation leader to create production network solutions addressing global supply chain challenges across markets. The role involves identifying new technologies, building business cases, and presenting capital expenditure endorsements for automation initiatives.

You will collaborate across international Walmart supply chain groups to recognize, plan, and implement automation across stores, distribution, and fulfillment to improve operations and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Shown experience recognizing automation solutions, designing processes for automation implementations, and delivering automation projects.
• Experience coordinating with internal stakeholders to implement automated systems.
• Knowledge of automation technologies and their business impact.

Responsibilities

• Directly influence automation project decisions and roadmaps for each Walmart market to include solutions and capital expenditure.
• Develop business cases ready to show the need for resource changes.
• Lead initiatives to explore, design, approve and deploy technology into stores, distribution, and fulfillment centers across international markets.
• Identify new tech and automation opportunities; test and vet new tech and vendors for fit with Walmart operations.
• Define and train market teams and leaders on Automation best practices including Office Layout, Process Flow and End2end impacts on the supply chain.
