Walmart is seeking a technically strong Manager of Automation Engineering to lead the parcel strategy and design for the expanding network in Bentonville, AR. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required with 2+ years’ experience.
• Alternative: 4 years’ experience in engineering, supply chain, or related area.
• Masters in Computer Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop parcel automation strategies, concepts, and designs across multiple parcel network nodes.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and benchmark solutions in eCommerce, logistics, and automation.
• Create conceptual layouts, process flows, capacity models, and engineering analyses.
• Partner with automation suppliers to evaluate equipment capabilities and roadmaps.
• Develop and improve engineering standards, design requirements, and reusable concepts.
• Apply data analysis and engineering economics to support business cases and tech selection.
• Collaborate across teams to develop integrated solutions and resolve complex engineering challenges.
• Support pilots and communicate recommendations through engineering documents and executive materials.
