Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking an Automated Test Engineer (ATE) for a remote, U.S.-based role supporting Veterans Affairs (VA). The position requires extensive experience in test planning, automation, and multi-type testing, including security considerations and CI/CD integration.

You will develop and execute test plans, write scripts, and lead verification activities across web, APIs, and IT systems, collaborating with managers and developers to improve quality and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure information systems, products, and services meet standards and end-user requirements.
• Develop test plans, test schedules, and approaches for automated and manual testing.
• Write test cases and scripts and identify data for test scenarios.
• Conduct walkthroughs with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead tests on software and IT systems to ensure proper operation and defect-free delivery.
• Document and communicate test results; support analysis and resolution of open issues.
• Create daily test metrics and reporting; apply technical principles to solve complex problems.
