Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking an Experienced Automated Test Engineer (ATE) for a remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs project. The position requires strong programming, test automation, and leadership across manual and automated testing efforts.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in software QA, proficiency with Selenium, JUnit/TestNG, CI/CD tools, and strong knowledge of APIs, SQL, and security testing practices. U.S. citizenship and Public Trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software testing and QA experience.
• Advanced certifications in testing (ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA)
• Experience with SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to meet requirements.
• Write test cases and scripts; identify data for test scenarios.
• Conduct walkthroughs with Test Managers and developers.
• Lead tests for IT systems to ensure defect-free operation.
• Document and communicate test results; support issue resolution.
• Create daily test metrics and reporting.
• Mentor junior testers and guide test reviews.
• Test across web applications, APIs, and services.
