State Farm is seeking an Auto Estimator for a Remote-Field role based in Sterling, VA. You will collect vehicle information and prepare estimates from photos or in person, supporting insureds through the claims process with Remarakable service.

The role requires auto repair estimating experience, strong communication, and the ability to work across platforms. Optional licenses/certifications enhance eligibility for this hybrid position.

Qualifications

• Auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or auto insurance appraiser experience.
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task across technical platforms.
• Accountability and Resourcefulness.
• Physical agility to evaluate vehicle damage and create repair estimates.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect vehicle information from repair shops or customers and complete initial and supplemental estimates.
• Explain coverage, estimate vehicle damage, and help insureds through the claims process.
• Utilize automated estimating systems to prepare repair estimates.
• Provide technical support to claim handlers on vehicle repair issues.
• Evaluate bid content, photo documentation, and causation issues.
• Interacting with customers and repair shops, addressing inquiries professionally.
