Job summary

National General is a remote, field-based opportunity supporting the Wilmington, NC market. You will assess vehicle damage, communicate repair recommendations, and negotiate settlements across multiple lines with a focus on customer service and regulatory compliance.

The role requires at least 2 years of body shop or automotive repair experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in the field while building trusted relationships with customers and repair

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of body shop, collision repair, or automotive repair experience.
• Ability to assess vehicle damage and communicate repair recommendations effectively.
• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage an independent schedule, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a field-based environment.
• CCC ONE experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Possesses strong estimating fundamentals to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party losses.
• Understands the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Negotiates settlements and documents activities across complex files.
• Evaluates settlement options by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Builds mastered relationships with internal and external customers across multiple lines.
