Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Manager to oversee audit engagements within the Firm’s Tax/Audit practice. The role emphasizes supervising staff, mentoring teams, and strengthening client relationships while growing office profitability.

You will work with Principals and Partners to identify new clients and expand technical expertise across audit engagements, with opportunities to contribute to firm publications and trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA license strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting and auditing rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop client relationships and grow the practice.
• Experience supervising staff and mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility for client engagements, including planning, staffing, timing, technical issues and other decisions.
• Oversee completion of engagements and identify/solve problem areas with minimal oversight.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews.
• Supervise and mentor Supervisors, Senior Accountants and Staff.
• Assist Principals and Partners with identifying and pursuing new clients.
• Promote the Firm’s image and participate in recruiting events and trainings.
• Develop client relationships and improve office profitability.
• Complete annual performance evaluations for assigned staff.
