Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Manager to lead audit engagements, supervise staff, and strengthen client relationships within the Firm’s Tax/Audit practice. You’ll plan engagements, review work, and help develop the team while maintaining a strong focus on quality and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• 5–8 years of public accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting and auditing rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Take primary responsibility for client engagements: planning, staffing, timing, technical issues.
• Oversee engagement completion and resolve issues with minimal supervision.
• Supervise and mentor Supervisors, Senior Accountants and Staff; guide technical development.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and manage performance conversations.
• Assist Principals/Partners with identifying and pursuing new clients.
• Identify opportunities to convert knowledge into high value services for clients.
• Promote the Firm’s image at conferences, trainings, and recruiting events.
• Develop client relationships through professionalism and responsiveness.
• Enhance skills in target industries and promote quality work-life balance.
• Meet internal deadlines and contribute to profitability.
