Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Audit Intern to assist with audits across Accounting, Finance, Operations, and IT. The role is remote part-time (20 hours/week) and flexible to fit class schedules.

You will learn auditing fundamentals, perform procedures, prepare working papers, conduct interviews, and document issues with independent judgment. You will present findings to management and gain hands-on experience in SOX and controls.

Qualifications

• Incoming Junior pursuing a BA/BS in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Information Systems with coursework in accounting, data analytics, economics, computer programming or other financial centric curriculum.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Learn fundamentals of auditing and business operations through formal and on-the-job training and participation in SOX or other audits.
• Perform audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing evidence, and documenting auditee processes.
• Prepare working papers, conduct interviews, review documents, and compose summary memos.
• Identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations with independent judgment.
• Communicate results of projects via written reports and oral presentations to management.
