Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a remote intern to support Ryder Audit Services with a 20-hour-per-week schedule. You will assist on SOX, process, vendor, and IT general control audits across accounting, finance, operations, and IT teams.

You will learn auditing fundamentals through training and on-the-job practice, perform procedures, and help prepare working papers and summary memos while communicating findings to management.

Qualifications

• Incoming Junior pursuing a BA/BS in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Information Systems with relevant coursework.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Learn fundamentals of auditing and participate in SOX or other audits.
• Perform audit procedures: identify issues, review evidence, document processes.
• Prepare working papers, interview auditees, review documents, and summarize memos.
• Identify and document issues and recommendations with independent judgment.
• Communicate results via written reports and oral presentations to management.
