Job summary

Mercor is seeking a detail‑oriented reviewer to evaluate AI-narrated audiobooks. You will listen to English (US) narration, report on naturalness and accuracy, and log timing and pronunciation issues using our review tools.

Ideal candidates are native or near-native English speakers with experience in annotation, transcription, or linguistics, and can commit about 20 hours weekly on a remote schedule.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native English (US) proficiency.
• Experience with annotation, labeling, transcription, or proofreading.
• Detail-oriented reviewer with a patient ear.
• Available ~20 hours per week for a remote, part-time role.
• Background in language, editing, or audio production is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Listen to AI-narrated audiobooks and assess naturalness and accuracy of narration.
• Log errors—skipped words, mispronunciations, numbers, abbreviations, phrasing, artifacts.
• Categorize issues and mark exact spans using review tooling.
• Report overall listener satisfaction and naturalness vs. breaks in experience.
• Maintain consistency and attention across long listening sessions.
