Job summary

Mercor is seeking contributors to evaluate AI-narrated audiobooks delivered in US/NA English. You will listen as a devoted audiobook fan but with a careful, analytical ear, flagging moments where narration slips so models can improve.

You will spend about 20 hours weekly remotely, focusing on naturalness, accuracy, and listener enjoyment, while logging errors and providing precise feedback to support ongoing model training.

Qualifications

• Must be a native or near-native English speaker (US/NA English).
• Strong attention to detail and careful listening across long audio sessions.
• Some experience with annotation, labeling, transcription, proofreading, linguistics, or review work.
• Reliable availability for about 20 hours per week on a remote, part-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Listen to AI-narrated audiobooks in English and judge naturalness, accuracy, and enjoyment.
• Log and categorize errors in speech: skipped words, mispronunciations, wrong numbers, or intonation issues.
• Mark exact spans of issues using review tools and report findings clearly.
• Provide feedback on overall listener satisfaction and identify where narration breaks the experience.
• Maintain focus and accuracy across many hours of audio.
