Qualifications

• Two years of professional legal work including one year of trial work.

Responsibilities

• Hearing Management: conduct hearings, administer oaths, examine witnesses, review evidence, and rule on motions
• Case Evaluation: prepare adjudications by reviewing records, evaluating evidence, and documenting findings
• Legal Research: review statutes, case law, regulations, and policies; communicate updates to staff
• Case Tracking: monitor and manage cases to meet timelines and procedures
• Staff Guidance: provide direction to legal assistants and ALJs on appeal procedures
