Unmanned Safety Institute, Inc. seeks a Remote Pilot Operator to join the SAIC Controller Training Solutions team at the Birmingham Intl ATCT/TRACON (BHM) in Birmingham, AL.

The RPO role involves operating a simulated radar display and voice communication system to simulate the actions and communication of pilots and remote ATC facilities during medium and high-fidelity training exercises. The candidate will complete certifications in Classroom and Lab for RPO roles.

Qualifications

• Must be US citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• High school diploma (or equivalent) and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams/manuals; speak clearly and be understood.

Responsibilities

• Operate a simulated radar display and voice system to mirror pilots and remote ATC during training.
• Receive voice commands from students and input correct entries into the simulator.
• Translate displayed information into ATC terminology and respond using proper phraseology.
• Complete required certifications: Classroom and Lab for Remote Pilot Operator roles.
• Support FAA training programs at FAA ATC facilities nationwide.
