Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Full-time Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) to join the Controller Training Solutions team at the Birmingham Intl ATCT/TRACON in Birmingham, AL, supporting FAA training services.

The RPO operates a simulated radar display and voice system, inputs pilot actions, translates data into ATC terminology, and responds with proper phraseology. Candidates must have US citizenship and a high school diploma with basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals and speak clearly.

Responsibilities

• Operate a simulated radar display and voice communication system to imitate pilot actions and ATC procedures.
• Input correct entries into the automated system to simulate pilot actions.
• Translate displayed information into ATC terminology and respond to students with proper phraseology.
