Job summary

Ryan Specialty is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to negotiate and draft agreements between Ryan entities and their trading partners, ensuring compliance with market security protocols.

You will provide timely legal advice to executives, assess risk, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on delegated underwriting authority agreements, including with Lloyd’s of London, in a remote United States role.

Qualifications

• Law degree with 2 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience.
• License to practice law in at least one state.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft agreements and amendments, and other legal documents.
• Offer accurate and timely legal advice to executives on various topics relating to agreements between Ryan entities and their trading partners.
• Ensure compliance with the Company’s market security protocols.
• Provide advice to business units on contract terms.
• Research and evaluate risk factors related to business decisions and operations.
• Apply effective risk management techniques and proactively advise on potential legal issues.
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties.
• Handle complex matters involving multiple stakeholders and forces.
