Job summary

McGraw Hill is seeking an Associate Instructional Designer (6-12 ELA) for a remote role in the United States. You will develop instructional materials for K-12 literacy programs, collaborating with content, product management, UX, and media teams to create robust digital tools and learning solutions.

The role focuses on assembling high-quality content, applying design principles, and ensuring accessibility across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or related field required.
• 0-2 years' experience in digital content development including teaching/learning materials.
• Experience with authoring tools, LMS, and CMS.
• Ability to visualize and create animated and interactive content.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and iterative workflows.
• Previous 6-12 teaching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply design principles and design thinking in routine situations.
• Prepare manuscript needs and support rounds of build for digital assets.
• Collaborate with instructional designers during product development.
• Maintain accuracy and upkeep of build documentation.
• Contribute to accessibility across the product development process.
• Contribute to the product build process and meet schedules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet requirements and timelines.
• Identify and test technical bugs and enhancements in authoring tools and platform.
