Job summary

Eliza is seeking an Associate Forward Deployed Engineer to join our delivery team. In this entry role, you will work with Lead and Senior FDEs on live client engagements, contributing to the technical build from requirements through proof-of-concept and delivery.

You’ll rotate across engagements, gaining exposure to various industries and hard problems, while identifying internal AI use cases to improve Eliza’s own operations.

Qualifications

• 1) 0–2 years of software engineering experience or demonstrated equivalent through internships or projects.
• 2) Strong Python programming; familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, Go or similar is a plus.
• 3) Clear written and verbal communication; interest in direct client work.
• 4) Experience with modern cloud platforms and version control/CI workflows.
• 5) Evidence of shipping a real system, tool, or model used by others.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to client-facing solution delivery: build/test components of AI systems under senior direction.
• Own internal AI use cases: scope, build, and present internal solutions end-to-end.
• Build technical craft: write clean code, follow delivery standards, understand LLM integration and cloud deployment.
• Escalate challenges early with clear context and engage senior input when needed.
• Learn through direct mentorship from Lead and Senior FDEs; seek feedback and improve client communication.
