Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking an Associate Director of Safety to lead and strengthen our national field safety program. You will oversee Regional Safety Managers, integrate safety into project planning, and drive consistency across locations while communicating priorities to leadership.

The role requires 5–10 years of safety experience, leadership across multiple sites, and travel across the United States with a strong focus on utilities and infrastructure safety practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety/engineering field or related technical area.
• 5–10 years progressive safety experience; 7–10 preferred.
• Experience leading safety teams across multiple sites/states.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of four Regional Safety Managers nationwide.
• Create consistency and accountability across regional safety programs and reporting.
• Partner with operations leaders to integrate safety into project planning and field operations.
• Develop and strengthen safety strategy, processes, and training across the organization.
• Oversee incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions by regional teams.
• Review safety performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Travel 50–75% to field locations and maintain field connection.
