Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking an Associate Director, Safety to lead and strengthen our field safety organization as we grow across the country. This remote role will oversee Regional Safety Managers, ensuring consistency, accountability, and alignment with company leadership.

You'll focus on developing safety strategy, incident investigations, and training programs while traveling 50–75% to stay connected with field operations and teams nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related technical field is required; safety-focused degree preferred.
• 5–10 years of progressive safety experience, with 7–10 years preferred.
• Experience leading safety programs and managing safety professionals.
• Experience supporting multiple sites across more than one state.
• Professional safety certification such as CSP, ASP, or CHST is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of four Regional Safety Managers across the United States.
• Create consistency and accountability across regional safety programs, reporting, and execution.
• Partner with operations and leadership to integrate safety into project planning and field operations.
• Develop and communicate safety training, policies, and programs across the organization.
• Oversee incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Visit field operations to stay connected with teams and understand field conditions.
