Job summary

The Nature Conservancy in Hawaii invites applications for an Associate Director of Philanthropy (ADoP). You will plan and coordinate multi-year donor strategies, manage a portfolio of 60–100 donors, and lead asks for major gifts.

Based in Oahu, this full-time role requires regular in-person work, travel for donor visits (60–100 visits, 180–300 moves annually), and collaboration with global offices to advance fundraising goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Experience in asking for and closing gifts of $50,000 or more.
• Experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with fundraising constituents.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, preferably in a large non-profit.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and coordinate multi-year donor strategies and plans.
• Manage a portfolio of 60–100 donors, including donors with capacity over $250,000.
• Conduct 60–100 donor visits and 180–300 moves annually.
• Meet an annual fundraising goal of $1,000,000 or more and bequest notification targets.
• Engage internal partners and use the donor database; develop proposals as needed.
