Jobgether partners with a client in the United States to seek an Associate Director, Compliance focused on mortgage regulatory programs. The role emphasizes leadership in monitoring, risk assessment, and actionable guidance across lending operations in a fully remote setting.

The ideal candidate brings deep mortgage regulatory knowledge, strong analytical and communication skills, and a track record of building effective compliance controls and third-party collaboration.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in a financial institution with regulated mortgage experience.
• Experience in risk management or consumer compliance (mortgage origination).
• Strong knowledge of federal/state mortgage laws (Dodd-Frank, RESPA, TILA, TRID, ECOA, HMDA, GLBA, Fair Lending, UDAAP).
• Experience developing/overseeing monitoring and testing programs and QA reviews.
• Familiar with regulatory examinations, audits, and corrective action tracking.
• Excellent communication and leadership across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and enhancement of compliance monitoring and testing programs.
• Ensure activities align with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
• Perform second-level QA reviews of monitoring results and documentation.
• Collaborate with leadership to set performance objectives and metrics.
• Serve as primary contact for operational compliance across lending channels.
• Translate mortgage regulations into actionable guidance and controls.
• Coordinate regulatory examinations and audit requests, including loan file submissions.
• Support branch audits and timely deliverables.
• Monitor findings and drive corrective actions.
• Evaluate CMS controls and propose improvements.
• Maintain records, reporting, and cross-department communication.
• Manage competing priorities and support leadership goals.
