Job summary

Premier Disability Services, LLC is an in-house disability-claims law firm seeking an Associate Attorney to support clients, review cases and appeals, and conduct broad legal research related to SSA, DDS and ODAR. You'll advise on diverse topics and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced atmosphere.

You will need strong research and writing skills, independence and collaboration with business leaders, and the ability to juggle many assignments under tight deadlines while delivering quality

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited law school and a member in good standing of at least one state bar.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, business judgment and project management skills.
• Superior analytic and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience in Social Security Administration desirable.
• Excellent follow-through and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Use analytical, problem-solving, and communications skills to identify potential legal solutions and make timely decisions.
• Provide representation for clients scheduled to appear before an Administrative Law Judge.
• Draft pre-hearing, post-hearing, and appellate briefs for Premier clients.
• Review client cases, identify candidates for On the Record and Premier Hearing suitability, and escalate matters as needed.
• Review ALJ and Appeals Council decisions and assess viability of appeals.
• Conduct legal research at management request and respond to technical and legal questions.
• Assist with development and implementation of scalable policies and procedures.
• Respond to BBB or Bar complaints and coordinate with in-house staff and clients to avoid issues.
