Job summary

HNE is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Foreclosure South practice, focusing on real estate law, title review, title curative work, and non-judicial foreclosures. The role involves reviewing title examinations, resolving title defects, and guiding clients through foreclosure processes.

The ideal candidate has a J.D., an active Alabama Bar license, and at least two years of relevant experience. Hybrid or remote work arrangements are available based on experience and location.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and active Alabama Bar license required.
Minimum of 2 years of attorney experience in real estate, title review, and foreclosure matters.
Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Review title examinations and identify defects within 24-48 hours.
Analyze title reports and provide legal recommendations for resolving title concerns.
Handle title curative matters from inception through completion.
Review foreclosure documents for compliance with applicable laws.
Draft, review, and edit legal opinions and foreclosure-related documents.
Maintain updates in case management systems and communicate with clients.
