Job summary

Hydrogen Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale energy construction projects. You will work closely with project leadership on planning, scheduling, cost tracking, procurement, subcontractor coordination, documentation, and client communications.

This role offers flexibility during the contract period with remote work, but permanent onsite work at project locations may be required, and relocation could be needed based on project needs.

Qualifications

• 4-7+ years of construction experience, preferably within power, renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, industrial construction, or heavy civil projects.
• Previous experience in a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, or similar project-focused construction role.
• Experience supporting large, complex construction projects.
• Familiarity with construction scheduling, cost controls, procurement, subcontractor management, and project documentation.
• Experience with common construction/project management and scheduling software.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work onsite at project locations if transitioning into a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Support project leadership throughout planning and construction.
• Assist with schedules, budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and project reporting.
• Coordinate procurement, material requirements, and subcontractor activities.
• Monitor project progress, costs, deliverables, and potential risks.
• Assist with subcontractor documentation, invoicing, and change management.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, safety, and quality teams.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, scopes, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare project updates and support internal and client meetings.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and assist with project controls.
