Job summary

Hydrogen UK Ltd seeks an Engineer - Substation for a 12-month W2 contract. This fully remote role supports a team based in Juno Beach, FL, working East Coast hours. Owns substation projects from conception through commissioning, coordinating with development, supply chain, transmission, and external engineers.

Bachelor's degree preferred; 5+ years HV substation design/engineering; PMP/PE a plus. Travel within North America required; remote work from the USA is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years in HV substation design/engineering preferred.
• PM experience on substation/interconnection projects.
• PMP or PE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned substation projects from conception through construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate with development, supply chain, transmission, estimating, and EOR engineers.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE, NESC, ASCE and applicable industry codes.
• Source, evaluate bids, and manage external engineering resources via ISC.
• Support E&C Estimating with scope updates and cost feedback.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project progress and risk mitigation.
