Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking an Assistant Project Civil Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. This role focuses on energy-site civil design, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling to deliver high-quality solutions across the U.S.

The position offers hybrid or remote work flexibility and is open to multiple SWCA office locations. The ideal candidate has a civil/environmental engineering background with 3 years of site design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering or related field.
• Three years of civil/site design experience including erosion control and hydrologic modeling.
• EIT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical tasks, schedules, and budgets to ensure on-time delivery.
• Design stormwater systems and erosion control measures.
• Analyze utility crossings to minimize environmental impact.
• Prepare construction drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Support permitting for SWPPPs and erosion controls.
• Assist hydrologic/hydraulic modeling for design optimization.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project objectives.
• Provide construction-phase oversight and site problem resolution.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate progress.
• Mentor junior staff and promote knowledge sharing.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
