Job summary

Team Up is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant for a remote role supporting a UK-based telecommunications client. You will prepare journals, reconciliations, and management accounts, collaborating with finance and operations to deliver accurate monthly results.

With 1–3 years of finance experience and an AAT Level 4 qualification, you will develop your accounting skills toward a Management Accountant position, while contributing to reporting improvements and data quality across systems.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a finance support or junior accounting role.
• AAT Level 4 qualified or actively studying toward completion.
• Working knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, accruals, and prepayments.
• Experience with month-end processes and account reconciliations.
• Familiarity with management reporting and variance analysis.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Sage.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills; Power BI desirable.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close process with complete and accurate financials.
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and reclassifications with documentation.
• Assist with management accounts and variance analyses.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organised working papers for audits and reviews.
• Code and allocate costs across departments and workstreams.
• Produce recurring financial reports for budget monitoring.
• Support budget holders with financial queries and cost explanations.
• Collaborate with transactional teams to resolve posting issues.
• Maintain accurate data across systems and improve reporting templates.
