Job summary

VytlOne - Assistant General Counsel for PBM is a remote role with occasional travel. This attorney serves as the primary legal authority on PBM matters and partners with executive leadership on contracting, regulatory matters, and growth initiatives for a fast-growing PBM business unit.

The ideal candidate has a JD and 10+ years of in-house PBM or payor experience, with strong contract drafting and leadership skills to drive strategic outcomes while maintaining rigor.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active Bar license.
• Minimum 10 years of legal experience, with substantial in-house PBM or health insurer background; external healthcare firms alone do not satisfy this requirement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal counsel for the PBM business unit, advising leadership on strategy and regulatory developments.
• Draft, negotiate, and structure contracts with strong business acumen.
• Provide regulatory guidance and respond to inquiries from regulators and insurers.
• Lead and manage key projects and supervise outside counsel as needed.
• Collaborate across functions to align legal strategy with business goals.
