Job summary

Kiyora Communities is seeking a remote Assistant Controller to own financial reporting and multi-entity accounting across a large platform of entities. You will manage lender and equity partner reporting, and lead the monthly close with a disciplined, process-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 6+ years accounting and financial reporting experience, including public accounting / audits, with at least 3 years in real estate accounting.
• Direct experience with lender reporting and debt compliance across multiple loans.
• Experience managing an outsourced or offshore accounting team, with deadline discipline.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, partnership tax, K-1s, and 1099 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own covenant compliance modeling across all debt and renewals; forecast headroom and flag risks.
• Maintain a single lender reporting calendar; deliver packages on time for all lenders and partners.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly equity partner reporting; manage capital accounts and waterfalls.
• Own the annual financial statement audits with external auditors and deliver timely reports.
• Oversee multi-entity monthly close, intercompany reconciliations, and project accounting workflows.
