Job summary

SEH is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our finance team. This role leads accounting operations, supports annual audits, and partners with senior leadership on financial strategy and reporting.

You will help drive process improvements and mentor staff while leveraging our remote work model. The successful candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting, CPA status, and extensive experience across end-to-end accounting, audits, and GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• CPA certification is required or active/inactive.
• Experience in accounting leadership roles and audits.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations including monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Evaluate accounting standards and regulatory changes with leadership.
• Coordinate with external auditors for audits and controls.
• Manage treasury activities including cash forecasting and bank relations.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and proper internal controls.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports and variances.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management with operations.
• Lead, develop, and mentor accounting staff.
• Collaborate with Controller on financial strategy and process improvements.
• Remote role open to most US states; relocation optional.
