Job summary

The Community Preservation Corporation is seeking an Asset Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of Small Balance, Conventional, and Affordable multifamily loans. You will monitor performance, assess risks, and coordinate servicing activities to maintain credit quality and investor alignment.

Under senior guidance, you’ll develop expertise in Agency servicing and asset management, manage day-to-day portfolio tasks, and escalate issues when needed to ensure strong investor compliance and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of experience with Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac Multifamily portfolio preferred; open to 2–3+ years in related fields.
• Familiarity with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Multifamily programs and servicing requirements preferred.
• Basic understanding of multifamily real estate fundamentals, including operations, financial performance, ownership structures, and market dynamics.
• Ability to review financial statements, operating budgets, rent rolls, and borrower reporting to identify performance trends and risks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and risk mitigation.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 110+ SBL, Conventional, and Affordable Agency loans.
• Monitor loan, property, and borrower performance to identify risks and compliance issues.
• Review financial statements, rent rolls, budgets, and borrower reporting to evaluate asset performance.
• Prepare monthly watchlist comments, risk assessments, and asset-level summaries.
• Review and process borrower requests in line with Investor guidelines.
• Monitor collateral condition and coordinate repairs with borrowers.
• Analyze delinquency trends and maturities to support proactive management.
• Assist in borrower consent requests and supporting documentation.
• Review loan documents for compliance with terms and investor requirements.
• Collaborate with Servicing, Legal, Closing, Origination and others to resolve issues.
