Job summary

Merchants Capital is seeking an Asset Manager to oversee a portfolio of multifamily loans, ensuring compliance with loan terms and delivering exceptional client service. This role emphasizes detailed portfolio monitoring and risk assessment, with an individual contributor position and client-facing duties.

The Asset Manager will monitor performance, review extensions and modifications, and support hedging and financing strategies while collaborating with the Loan Origination and Capital Markets

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of real estate asset or portfolio management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, real estate or related field.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and client-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage borrower relationships across a portfolio of multifamily loans.
• Ensure compliance with loan documents and terms.
• Review quarterly financial analyses and approve repair/escrow distributions.
• Monitor hedge-related escrows and perform credit testing for extensions/modifications.
• Assist capital markets with ad hoc requests and refinancing discussions.
