Job summary

Adapture Renewables, Inc. seeks a Director of Asset Management to lead the APO team and manage commercial, financial, and operational performance for 700+ MW of solar and energy storage projects across the U.S.

The role combines strategy with hands-on leadership of asset managers and support staff. The position is remote with up to 25% travel to project sites, the Oakland office, and partner meetings, reporting to the VP of Asset Performance and Optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 10+ years of energy industry experience, including asset management of utility-scale renewables.
• Direct experience managing tax equity partnerships, including partnership flip structures and investor reporting.
• Solid knowledge of project finance documents, offtake agreements, and project financial models.
• Experience with RTO/ISO markets and regulatory compliance (FERC/NERC).
• Comfort with data and modern tools (Excel/Power Query, Power BI, Python).

Responsibilities

• Lead tax equity management and investor reporting.
• Oversee ITC compliance and recapture risk in coordination with Finance, Tax, and Legal.
• Manage relationships with offtakers, lenders, and investors; ensure timely responses.
• Budgeting: own project-level budgets; perform monthly/quarterly/annual BvA reconciliations.
• Deliver monthly operating and performance reports to leadership and financiers.
• Oversee compliance with PPAs, interconnections, and permits; track obligations.
• Guide asset management due diligence for acquisitions/divestitures.
• Develop automated workflows and AI tools to scale asset management.
