Job summary

GAF is seeking an Asphalt Process Excellence Manager to lead a multi-plant team driving safety, efficiency, productivity, and cost improvements across asphalt yards, both oxidizing and non-oxidizing facilities.

You will collaborate with Corporate Engineering, Operations, R&D, Quality Assurance, Third-Party Oxidizers, and Supply Chain to standardize practices and push data-driven improvements across the network. 50% travel and remote US-based work are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years in manufacturing environment with leadership/PM experience.
• 5+ years supporting process engineering at multiple locations.
• Supervisory/project lead experience.
• Experience in continuous web machine operation or design.
• Knowledge of roofing process and ASTM Roofing Codes.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional and cross-plant decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead team to define and deploy standards and best practices across plants.
• Drive cost savings and efficiency improvements via benchmarking and data.
• Set priorities using plant metrics and analytics.
• Coach and mentor technical and process teams for bench strength.
• Participate in safety initiatives and process changes from analysis.
• Collaborate to adopt new technology solutions across Corporate and Plants.
• Manage change and sustain a culture of continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
