Meirowitz & Wasserberg, LLP is seeking an experienced Intake Manager to oversee the daily operations of the firm’s Intake Department in a fast-paced legal environment. The role includes coordinating case assignments, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to procedures.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing personnel and competing priorities. The position offers on-site Manhattan work or a fully remote option across the United States.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal intake, personal injury, mass tort, or related legal environment.
• Experience managing, supervising, or coordinating a legal intake team or department.
• Strong understanding of intake workflows, case management, and referral processes.
• Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of departmental workflow and priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor the department intake email inbox and ensure referrals are acknowledged and assigned promptly.
• Ensure mesothelioma referrals are communicated to the right team and an action plan is set.
• Oversee daily intake workflow and distribute cases based on workload and priorities.
• Assign intake calls to appropriate team members.
• Coordinate medical records tasks with the Medical Records team as needed.
• Prepare for weekly intake meetings with the Intake Paralegal and review agendas.
• Lead weekly intake meetings with leadership and assign action items.
• Meet regularly with Intake team to review workload and outstanding requests.
• Monitor department productivity and balance workloads.
• Ensure all case activity is documented in SmartAdvocate (SA).
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and tracking systems; identify improvements.
• Collaborate with attorneys, referral sources, and internal teams to streamline intake.
