Arena Staffing is seeking a Processing Archivist to manage both physical and digital archival materials. You will organize, describe, and preserve collections, develop inventories and finding aids, and support researchers with accessible information retrieval.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to archival standards while collaborating with records managers, IT, librarians, and historians in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent arcival studies background.
• Experience in archival processing and records management preferred.
• Attention to detail and organizational excellence required.
• Ability to classify, describe, index, and maintain records physically and digitally.
• Familiarity with archival standards and metadata practices.

Responsabilités

• Process archival collections, organizing and describing in line with standards.
• Create inventories, finding aids, indexes and catalog records for retrieval.
• Identify materials needing preservation and apply procedures.
• Manage digital records: digitize, classify and maintain assets.
• Develop accurate metadata and documentation to improve searchability.
• Ensure labeling, accuracy, and consistency across materials.
• Assist researchers and authorized staff in locating information.
• Follow retention policies and privacy rules, upholding governance.
• Maintain archival databases and document management systems.
• Identify workflow improvements for digitization and storage.
