Job summary

James Hardie Building Products Inc. seeks an Architect & Designer Development Manager to influence product positioning with specifiers through contractors in the luxury residential market.

This role blends sales, relationship management, and sales process, requiring deep knowledge of residential construction and the specifier channel. You will build and maintain relationships with architects, landscape architects, interior designers, and custom builders to drive specification with James Hardie

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (four-year college or technical school).
• Experience with the A&D community; proven success with architects/interiors and specifiers.
• Strong contacts in the local A&D community; ability to travel up to 50%.
• Experience using CRM systems to manage opportunities and customer records.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture a specification network connecting architects, interior designers, landscape architects, and custom builders to specify James Hardie products on their projects.
• Develop project specifications with specifiers based on needs and challenges.
• Maintain a project pipeline coordinated with dealers, contractors, and local ASMs.
• Provide product and CEU training to specifiers about features and applications of James Hardie products.
• Collaborate with local ASMs and dealers to identify high-potential targets.
• Conduct market research on trends, regulations, and competition within residential specification industry.
