Job summary

SOCi, a leader in AI-powered marketing solutions for multi-location brands, seeks an AR Specialist to manage the full accounts receivable lifecycle, respond to inquiries, oversee invoice delivery, and support billing onboarding. You will partner with Customer Success, Sales, and Finance to ensure accurate billing and strong cash flow.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or related finance role.
• Experience with NetSuite, Tesorio, Maxio, Salesforce (SFDC), and Avalara preferred.
• Familiarity with subscription-based service contracts.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel including complex formulas, LOOKUP functions, PivotTables, and SUMIF.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Understanding basic accounting principles and billing best practices.
• Basic knowledge of AI tools with willingness to adopt for process efficiency.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the shared billing inbox and respond to inquiries within SLAs.
• Answer questions on billing, contracts, payments, and escalations.
• Monitor Slack and maintain relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate customer billing setup and vendor portal processes.
• Collect and upload sales tax exemption certificates.
• Submit invoices to customer portals on schedule (weekly/bi-weekly/monthly).
• Follow up on overdue invoices via phone and email.
• Prepare aging reports and flag at-risk accounts.
• Apply payments, credit memos, and rebills; reconcile accounts.
• Oversee dunning automation and assist with reserves and write-offs.
• Provide monthly updates to senior leadership.
• Attend team meetings and take on special projects.
