Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist - Medical Claims for remote work in designated U.S. states. The role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely billing and reimbursement for multispecialty services across payer networks.

The AR Specialist will pursue unpaid accounts, rebill, post payments, apply adjustments, and manage appeals under multi-state and federal regulations. Strong software and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Medical Insurance Claims billing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment and learn new AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and resubmit clean claims to insurance companies per payer guidelines.
• Analyze and correct first pass rejected claims for accurate resubmission.
• Follow up on claim status with primary/secondary insurance plans.
• Process claim appeals with supporting documentation.
• Suggest account adjustments or write-offs based on collectability.
• Identify and report billing trends and discrepancies to management.
• Generate and send monthly patient balance statements per EOB.
• Review patient accounts for delinquencies and collect overdue payments.
• Answer patient questions about billing and payments.
• Direct patient inquiries to appropriate staff when needed.
