University of Colorado Medicine (CU Medicine) is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the ARR team. This role can be performed 100% remotely, with out-of-state candidates considered.

You will coordinate third-party AR activities, focus on insurance follow-up, denial management, and provider reimbursement to ensure timely resolution and accurate accounts. Responsibilities include reviewing EOBs/ERAs, submitting disputes, and collaborating with carriers and internal teams.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in medical billing, accounts receivable or denial management.
• Ability to interpret EOBs/ERAs and payer correspondence.
• Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 coding concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payer portal navigation.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate third-party AR activities to resolve balances for assigned departments.
• Follow up on unpaid, denied or underpaid insurance claims to secure reimbursement.
• Review EOBs, ERAs and payer correspondence to determine action.
• Prepare reconsiderations, disputes and appeals with supporting documentation.
• Obtain claim and denial status via portals, phone, email or mail.
• Collaborate with carriers, providers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Identify denial trends and communicate findings to leadership.
• Maintain accurate documentation of account activity.
• Prioritize a high-volume workload to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide professional customer service to carriers, patients and staff.
