Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. is assisting a major client by recruiting for a Remote Accounts Receivable Specialist. This contract role offers weekly pay and a chance to expand your experience, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, and a $20.25 hourly rate.

You will manage AR relationships for a portfolio of commercial customers, ensure timely collections, and coordinate with sales and field teams to optimize cash flow. This position is remote, supporting a nationwide client base.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; Associates Degree preferred.
• 2+ years' experience in credit/collections or customer-facing role.
• Understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and business software systems.
• Effective collections, issue resolution, deduction management, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle difficult customer interactions with professionalism.
• Strong interpersonal skills with rapport-building and active listening.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio management: collect receivables by analyzing balances and contacting customers to meet goals.
• Resolve billing or cash application errors through account reconciliation.
• Address customer claims and disputes and feed back improvements to processes.
• Determine when to place accounts on credit hold and escalate as needed.
• Support department productivity by handling calls, chat, and email during peak volumes.
• Communicate account status with Field Operations and Commercial Sales teams.
