Job summary

Med-Metrix is seeking a Team Lead, Accounts Receivable Services to coordinate activities across the AR department and support the management team. This role trains new users, tracks productivity and quality, and drives improvement opportunities to ensure timely payer resolutions.

The candidate will oversee billing processes, assist in researching denials and appeals, and maintain HIPAA compliance while working with payers and patients.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in insurance collections and pursuing claims in medical settings.
• Experience in training new users.
• Knowledge of denied claims and appeals processes.
• Understanding of underpayments and credit balance processes.
• Proficiency with practice management systems (Epic, Allscripts, Cerner).
• Familiarity with Navinet/Novitasphere and medical terminology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic Excel skills.
• Strong communication, integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities and operations of Accounts Receivable.
• Train new users on client host system.
• Track productivity and quality of AR Representatives.
• Identify improvement opportunities via team evaluation.
• Follow up with payers to resolve outstanding claims.
• Meet productivity and quality standards per policies.
• Use workflow and host systems to collect payments and resolve accounts.
• Adhere to HIPAA and information security requirements.
• Identify and correct billing errors; initiate appeals when needed.
• Analyze payer delays and trend denial issues.
