Job summary

Ladder is seeking a SecOps/AppSec Engineer to drive application security vulnerability management across engineering teams. You will work hands-on with Clojure security in a JVM environment, balance development-facing threats, and monitor cloud infrastructure to promptly respond to incidents.

The role emphasizes secure coding mentoring, risk assessments, and collaboration with backend engineers, apps teams, and compliance partners. Remote with state-based hiring across 23 US states.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering and/or cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on experience coding in Clojure within the JVM.

Responsibilities

• Own application security vulnerability management within development lifecycles.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and respond to security alerts.
• Conduct security risk reviews and support audits.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices.
