Ladder is seeking an Applications Security Engineer to own the security lifecycle across development. You will partner with engineering teams on vulnerability management in a high-scale Clojure/JVM stack, while monitoring cloud posture and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering and/or cybersecurity experience.
• Experience in JVM environments and reading functional code.
• Hands-on cloud security operations and incident response.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+; CISSP preferred.
• Ability to mentor others and work with auditors.

Responsibilities

• Champion application security vulnerability management with dev teams.
• Monitor and improve cloud security posture using SIEM/SOAR/CNAPP tools.
• Perform security reviews and risk assessments on architecture and vendors.
• Maintain workspace security and IAM, device compliance, and tools.
• Advocate secure coding, set secure defaults, and scale risk decisions.
