Job summary

Ladder is seeking an Applications Security Engineer to own the application security lifecycle within a fast-growing, remote-friendly environment. You will partner with development teams in a heavy JVM/Clojure stack, drive vulnerability management, and balance security with agile delivery.

In addition to secure coding advocacy, you will monitor cloud security posture, perform risk reviews, support audits, and help shape governance across engineering.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in software engineering or cybersecurity.
• Hands-on JVM experience with functional code.
• Cloud security operations and incident response.
• Baseline certs such as CompTIA Security+; CISSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secure the code by partnering with development teams.
• Operate security posture in the cloud with SIEM/SOAR.
• Conduct security reviews and risk assessments.
• Protect workspace with IAM and device compliance.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices.
