Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking an Applications Engineer II for the NCSIMUL team. This remote role supports manufacturers across the United States, applying CNC simulation to verify and optimize machining processes while delivering hands-on technical training and guidance.

The ideal candidate will have CNC machining experience, CAM programming knowledge, and strong problem-solving and communication skills to work closely with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
• 5+ years of related engineering or manufacturing experience
• Experience with CNC machining and manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with CAM programming and G-code verification
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturers implementing NCSIMUL software to simulate, verify, optimize, and validate CNC machining processes
• Combine customer support, technical training, and application engineering to implement software solutions
• Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and develop virtual CNC machines to optimize machining performance
• Work directly with customers to understand needs and provide effective technical guidance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful software deployment and user adoption
